What is OpenRa1n?
OpenRa1n for Windows is a simple jailbreak program combined with palera1n and checkra1n that allows iPhone users to effortlessly jailbreak all checkm8 devices compatible with the latest iOS including iOS 15 and iOS 16 versions.
The procedure for using the application is quite simple, all you have to do is Run the tool, then power off & put your device in DFU mode and connect your device to the computer, now the tool will detect your phone & jalibreaking process will begin, that’s it.
This OpenRa1n Windows software is developed & released by Mineek as an open-source Github Repository project and was compiled by wh1te4ever. It can easily install the tweak injection containing the Sileo package manager and enables access to many jailbreaking repositories on any IOS device. Let’s checkout supported devices list:
Supported devices
The tool supports checkm8-based devices A9 to A11 powered iPhone 5S, iPhone 6S, iPhone SE, iPhone 7, iPhone 8, and iPhone X. But keep in mind, for jailbreak A11-based devices you won’t be able to access Passcode, Face ID/Touch ID, and Apple Pay. You must boot into a stock iOS to regain such features.
However, The tool doesn’t support A12+ SoC and iPhone XS to iPhone 15 devices, use the tool only with the following listed chipsets and devices.

How to install & use OpenRa1n for Windows
- Download OpenRa1n Jailbreak Windows Tool & libusb-1.0.dll Payloads.
- Extract all the files using WinRar, 7zip.
- Next, Download Zadig USB driver setup for Windows computer.
- Then, copy all the files “openra1n.exe, libusb-1.0.dll, and Zadig.exe” to the same extracted folder.
- After that, Download Python 3.11 for Windows & install it.
- Next, Open Windows CMD (Command Prompt) as Admin.
- Copy & paste the following command:
pip install pyusb- Next, Power off your IOS device & Put it into the DFU mode.
- Run Zadig-2.8.exe
- Click on Options menu & select List All Devices.
- Connect your IOS device.
- Open Zadig tool & select “Apple Mobile Device (DFU Mode)”.
- Next, Replace the WINUSB driver with libusbK.
- Then click on Replace Driver.
- After that, Go back to the Command Prompt (CMD).
- Drag and drop openra1n.exe to the cmd Window.
- Hit Enter.
- Open the Zadig tool and again install the libusbK driver.
- Check on your iPhone screen, it will boot with the pongoOS.
- Next, Replace the libusbK (v3.1.0.0) driver with libusb-win32(v1.2.7.3) driver.
- Next, Open CMD, type the following command & Hit enter.
cd openra1n-release & python3 boot.py- Now you can Access the palera1n loader app from Home Screen.
- That’s it, Disconnect your iPhone from PC.
