Steps to Unlock Bootloader
First, download and install the Android SDK Platform Tools on your Windows computer. The ADB and Fastboot binary provided by Google.
Install Android Platform Tools
- Download the tool & USB Driver.
- Next, extract both files.
- Install adb fastboot driver on Windows.

Get Unlock Code
- Go to Settings > About phone > IMEI and copy the IMEI 1.
- Again go to Settings > About phone > Model & Hardware > copy the Serial number.
- Now visit: Fairphone bootloader unlock Code page
- Type IMEI and Serial Number.
Enable USB Debugging and OEM Unlocking
- Open Settings app > Go down to > About Device
- Tap on Build Number 7 times > The Developer option will be enabled.
- Go back to Settings > System > Advanced > Developer Options >
- Enable USB Debugging
- Then enable OEM Unlocking > it will ask you unique code.
- Type the unique code you got earlier.
- OEM Unlock will enabled.

Boot Fairphone 5 to Fastboot Mode
- Power Off your Fairphone 5.
- Connect your phone to Windows using USB cable.
- Press & Hold Volume Down (-) & Power Key.

- Type the following command to verify the connected phone.
